Market Street in the Woodlands Celebrates 2013 Holidays in Style

MARKET STREET - THE WOODLANDS CELEBRATES 2013 HOLIDAYS IN STYLETHE WOODLANDS, TX  – Market Street, the premier shopping, dining and entertainment destination in The Woodlands, will celebrate the 2013 holiday season in high style with several family-friendly events, from its popular “Luxury in Lights” to kick off the holiday season to horse-drawn carriage rides and photos with Santa.

“Luxury in Lights,” November 21st

Start your holiday celebration on Thursday, November 21 at 6 p.m. as Market Street presents “Luxury in Lights,” a special evening when a deserving child or family lights Market Street’s dramatic 70-foot Christmas tree followed by an amazing, three-minute light show synchronized to signature holiday songs. After the official tree lighting, families will be treated to live musical performances, holiday entertainers and more.The synchronized light show will perform nightly at Market Street during the holidays from 5:30pm-9:30pm.

Holiday Carriage Rides Start November 15th

The tradition, charm and romance of horse-drawn carriage rides return to Market Street as the perfect way to cap off a holiday evening with the entire family or just the two of you.  Holiday carriage rides meander on a scenic path amidst Market Street’s twinkling lights and holiday sounds.   Longer, 30-minute carriage rides are available by reservation only and must be made at least 24 hours in advance.  For schedules, costs and reservations, call 936-499-4760.  All carriage rides are weather permitting.

Photos With Santa Start November 22nd

Boys and girls can share their Christmas wish lists and pose for photos with Santa at Market Street starting Friday, November 22 through Tuesday, December 24.

Santa and his helpers will be available Monday thru Saturday from 11 a.m. – 8 p.m. and Sunday from noon – 6 p.m. between Luke’s Locker and Touché across the street from Bath & Body Works.

Menorah Lighting, December 1st

For the third year, Chabad of The Woodlands will host a Grand Chanukah Celebration and Menorah Lighting at Market Street on Sunday, December 1 from 4 – 6 p.m.  The lighting of a nine-foot, seven-branched Menorah will take place at 5 p.m. with traditional Chanukah food and musical performances to follow.
