Mitchell Intermediate School 5th Grade Students Donate 503 Pounds of Food to Interfaith of the Woodlands Food Pantry

MITCHELL INTERMEDIATE SCHOOL 5TH GRADE STUDENTS DONATE 503 POUNDS OF FOOD TO INTERFAITH OF THE WOODLANDS FOOD PANTRYTHE WOODLANDS, TX – The entire 5th grade class at Mitchell Intermediate School collected and donated 503 pounds of food for the Interfaith of The Woodlands Food Pantry to help area families in need.  “We believe it is very important to help those in The Woodlands who can’t afford groceries. By donating food to the Interfaith Food Pantry, we are helping people get enough to eat,” said ten year old student, Casey Hayman.

Dr. Ann Snyder, President and CEO of Interfaith of The Woodlands, expressed her sincere gratitude to the children for all their efforts. “Interfaith is extremely grateful for the
support from the 5th graders of Mitchell Intermediate School. The food donation will help us serve the many families that come to Interfaith for assistance during the holidays.”

“The children always look forward to the food and book drive and as educators, it is an excellent way to teach life lessons and the importance of giving back to others,” said 5th grade teacher, Katherine McLean.
