Volunteer and Other Opportunities Available at The Woodlands Children’s Musuem

thewoodlandschildrensmuseumlove(1)THE WOODLANDS, TX  – Valentines Day is just around the corner – and love is in the air in The Woodlands Childrens Museum. If you would like to treat your favorite museum to something nice, there are plenty of ways to share your affection.

Spend time volunteering

The Woodlands Childrens Museum could greatly benefit from a few hours of your time. There are opportunities to volunteer during festivals, in exhibits and floor management or guiding art projects in the MUSE. Download the volunteer application online – and give the museum a helping hand.

Give a gift

No matter how big or small, donations are what help the museum survive and thrive. Become one of the Shining Star Supporters and purchase a star for $20 in honor of a child or grandchild. Children decorate the stars with the oil pastels; staff will then cover the star with black India ink, creating a crayon-resistant finish. Stars will be glazed after drying. These stars will be hung in the museum. All supporters will receive a “Shining Star Supporter” car magnet.

The museum is also seeking general contributions for its annual fund – as well as exhibit and event sponsors.

Make a commitment

Becoming a member is often the easiest way to support the museum. Family memberships are available for $67 and offer a full year of unlimited visits for a family of four, as well as a discount on classes, camps and birthday parties. Memberships also make great gifts – and shoppers may pick up a Day Pass gift certificate for $5 or a Grandparent Yearly Membership for $57. The museum offers $150 Basic Birthday Party certificates or $228 ThemedBirthday Party certificates.

Be attentive

Last but not least, the easiest way to demonstrate how much you care is to stop by the museum whenever and as often as you can. There are always fun events on the calendars, new art projects in the MUSE and plenty of room to play in the exhibits. Keep an eye on the calendar so you don’t miss any of the action!
