Purchases Made at Whole Foods in The Woodlands on April 1st Will Benefit The Woodlands Children’s Museum

grocerystore2crop2(1)THE WOODLANDS, TX – Shoppers at the new Whole Foods Market store will lend a helping hand to The Woodlands Children’s Museum when they fill up their grocery carts on April 1.

The store has selected the museum as a nonprofit partner during its five-week series of community giving days.

Purchases made from 7:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Wednesday, April 1 at Whole Foods Market The Woodlands, located at 1925 Hughes Landing Blvd. Ste. 100, will be tallied at the end of the day and 1 percent of store’s net sales will be donated to the museum.

Shoppers will also have an opportunity to learn more about The Woodlands Children’s Museum, a local nonprofit dedicated to educating, empowering and exciting children and their families in lifelong learning and discovery.

The museum will have a booth and offer activities and strolling performances to entertain guests at Whole Foods Market.

We’re so grateful that the museum was chosen as a community partner, executive director Angela Colton said. We are thankful to Whole Foods Market for their support, and this is also a fantastic opportunity for us to share what we do at the museum with area residents.

Maria Bergh, marketing team leader for Whole Foods Market, explained that each store seeks the best possible way to connect and give back to the local community.

We are excited about our partnership with The Woodlands Children’s Museum, she said. Our values are greatly aligned and they are a vibrant resource to The Woodlands and surrounding community.  We look forward to collaborating on projects and events at our store and at the museum.

Located at 4775 W. Panther Creek Drive, Suite 280, in The Woodlands, 77381, the museum has a full calendar of exciting activities. To learn more about the museum, its hours of operation and ways to support the nonprofit, call 281-465-0955 or visit woodlandschildrensmuseum.org.
