Greater Conroe Arts Alliance Receives Donation from Montgomery County Art Walk Association

GREATER CONROE ARTS ALLIANCE RECEIVES DONATION FROM MONTGOMERY COUNTY ART WALK ASSOCIATION

CONROE, TX – At a meeting of the Greater Conroe Arts Alliance on Thursday, November 21, the Montgomery County Art Walk Association presented a donation of $6,800 to the Alliance to help promote the arts in the area. Representing the Association to make the presentation were Pat Bourgeois, Doris Hickman and Patsy McLemore.

“We are thrilled to accept this generous gift from The Montgomery County Art Walk Association,” said Joe Kolb, president of the Arts Alliance. “We are dedicated to enriching the cultural life of the community through the arts, and this contribution will help very much.”

Annette Spikes, treasurer of the Greater Conroe Arts Alliance,  expressed her appreciation. “We are grateful for this wonderful contribution. It will allow our organization, which promotes all of the arts organizations in the Greater Conroe Area, to move forward in providing unique opportunities to acquaint residents with the vast number of entertainment offerings we are privileged to have in our community.”

Representatives of arts organizations and interested members of the community are invited to attend the Greater Conroe Arts Alliance meetings on the third Thursday of each month. The next scheduled meeting is January 16, 2014, 11:30 a.m. at the Conroe Art League Gallery in the Madeley Building at 127 Simonton Street in Conroe.
