THE WOODLANDS, TX – Kindergarten students at Birnham Woods  Elementary School held a food drive to benefit Interfaith of The Woodlands  Food Pantry.  The food drive was a friendly competition between the kindergarten classes all competing for a chance to win a popsicle party.  Through daily promotion throughout the school, 903 pounds of food was collected to help feed families in need.  “We are extremely proud of our students for giving back in such a big way.  They may be young, but the understand the importance of giving to those less fortunate,” said Natalie Buckley, Assistant Principal at Birnham Woods Elementary School.

“Interfaith is extremely grateful for the support of the students at Birnham Woods Elementary. This incredible donation of food will enable Interfaith to feed the many families that come to us for help throughout the year,” said Dr. Ann Snyder, President and CEO of Interfaith of The Woodlands.
