Tht Spa at La Torretta Rolls Out New Bamboo Massage in Recognition of National Stress Month

La Torretta Lake Resort & SpaMONTGOMERY, TX – The Spa at La Torretta is recognizing National Stress Month, observed every April, by introducing a new treatment where massage therapists use warmed bamboo stalks to apply a deep-tissue massage to sooth sore muscles, increase circulation and provide a sense of deep relaxation.

The Spa is located in La Torretta Lake Resort & Spa, the AAA Four Diamond lakeside Texas resort on Lake Conroe at 600 La Torretta Blvd., 12 miles west of I-45 off Highway 105.

“The technique applies the general principles of a hand massage,” notes Spa Director Debbie Brosch, a licensed massage therapist. “However the bamboo creates a deeper, firmer massage.”

Brosch explains a warmed bamboo cane is held by the therapist and rolled over the muscles with the same strokes they would use with their hands to relieve sore muscles.

“It’s a wonderful experience for men and women,” she says.

In addition to the new bamboo treatment introduced in recognition of National Stress Month, the Spa at La Torretta offers a broad range of body indulgences, massage options, skin care services. manicure and pedicure packages and salon services.

Offerings include total body indulgences such as the Tropical Essence Massage, the Milk & Honey Body Wrap and the C+C Vitamin Scrub. Massage options range from the intimate couples massage to the Sacred Stone Massage where fresh stones, radiant with heat, chase the last bit of muscle tension away. Unique global rituals from Fiji, India and Thailand also are offered along with a variety of skin care options.

The Spa at La Torretta is a spacious retreat where private bath houses, Shiatsu massage chairs and a soothing Relaxation Lounge surround a Zen-inspired garden to provide the ultimate in relaxation.
