THE WOODLANDS, TX – Continuing its legacy of commitment to those in need and enriching lives and communities, the Woodforest Charitable Foundation distributed one million dollars in donations among 31 local charities in Montgomery and Harris Counties during a recent Charity Partnership Breakfast.

The charitable categories included crisis, health care, hunger relief, special needs, and youth intervention.

The charities serving those in crisis included:

  • Emergency Ministries
  • Grief Resource Center, and Healing Species Texas
  • Helping a Hero
  • Humble Area Assistance Ministries
  • Montgomery County Emergency Assistance
  • Montgomery County Women’s Center
  • North Channel Assistance Ministries
  • Northwest Area Assistance Ministries

The health care charities included:

  • Children’s Miracle Network
  • Interfaith Community Clinic
  • Lone Star Family Health Center
  • The Rose
  • TOMAGWA Health Care Ministries

Woodforest National Bank

The hunger relief charities included:

  • Houston Food Bank
  • Interfaith of The Woodlands
  • Montgomery County Food Bank
  • The Friendship Center.

Charities serving special needs included:

  • Panther Creek Inspiration Ranch
  • Special Angels of The Woodlands Texas
  • New Community Alliance dba New DanvillE

The youth intervention charities included:

  • Angel Reach Boys & Girls Country
  • CASA Children’s Advocate of Montgomery County
  • Children’s Safe Harbor
  • Conroe Family YMCA
  • Family Promise of Lake Houston
  • Family Promise of Montgomery County
  • Montgomery County Youth Services,
  • Tamina Community Center
  • Youth-Reach Houston
