Local Corporations Continue Their Support of Signature Events

THE WOODLANDS, TX – Sponsors are significant to the production of the highly quality events produced by The Woodlands Convention & Visitors Bureau.

They play a key role in funding entertainment, activities and other necessary event elements, according to Nick Wolda, president of The Woodlands Visitors & Convention Bureau.

“From the entertainment and fireworks to event logistics, our corporate partnerships help make the events happen,” he says.

Talisman Energy, a global upstream oil and gas company headquartered in Canada with offices in The Woodlands, recently solidified its support of these signature events by presenting The Woodlands Convention & Visitors Bureau with a $20,000 sponsorship investment with sponsorship of the Red, Hot and Blue Festival, Lighting of the Doves and iWOW – International Winter on The Waterway.

“Our support of events in The Woodlands is about giving back to a community where our employees live, work and raise their families,” notes Sabrina Wagoner of Talisman Energy. “We’re delighted to continue our involvement.”

Sponsors also play a big role in helping bring the events at Waterway Square, Town Green Park and along The Woodlands Waterway to life, Wolda adds.
